Recycled, Reinvented + Re-energized

I think we can all agree that we need some newness for 2018.  There are always lots of trends floating around at the beginning of the year.  Lofty outfit goals that we all want to adopt.  Ideas being recycled, reinvented, and re-energized for the new year.  I went on a really productive deep dive and found some new items that I think will elevate your 2018 style.

First up is the sneaker.  Nothing new to see here except everything. Steal them from your grandpa, buy ones that also double as a sock and are podiatrist approved.  Start wearing them with dresses and stop apologizing.

Suiting in every color.  Boxy blazers, culottes, and kick flares.

I have been in a weird sunglasses mood.  I either want them to be ultra-femme, pink, glittery, cat-eyes OR the super clean, unisex and not fussy.  Working on warming up to the micro sunnies trend as well.

Redefining work blouses that go beyond 9-5.  The more asymmetry, architecture, and volume – the better.

Toss your tight, skinny jeans aside.  Less jeans that look like leggings or oversized boyfriend fits.  Adopt pants with some weight to them.  Maybe a wide leg, uneven hem, or front detail.  Perfectly tailored and high on the waist. Stolen from the girls.
